10:20am: I have been forbidden from driving down to California in my car.
My parents said the car would break down, when I explained I was going to have a tune up done on it & I was backing emergency supplies & bringing both my Verizon & Cingular cell phones they still said no. I asked them how much insurance was & how much the car was, even if I bought it they said they wouldn't let me do it till I had both the car & insurance in my name. Not worth it.
I'm looking into a car rental right now but I dunno if I want to spend that kind of money.

~edit: so it's roughly 500 dollars for the least expensive rental & that seems to be a pretty universal price. I'm canceling my plans :/

9:38pm: Today I made a Zelda reference & someone didn't get it, when I tried to explain it was a Zelda reference they asked me if it was a TV show. I told them they made a TV show but that really wasn't the highlight of The Legend of Zelda.

Later I quote Futurama same thing. Needless to say I will be avoiding any further long term contact with said individual. This makes the inner nerd weep.

3:02am: I'm experiencing a minor manic episode.
"Hypomania (literally, below mania) is a mood state characterized by persistent and pervasive elevated or irritable mood, and thoughts and behaviors that are consistent with such a mood state. People experiencing hypomanic symptoms typically have a flight of ideas, a decreased need for sleep and/or rest, are extremely outgoing and daring, and have a great deal of energy. However, unlike full-blown mania, those with hypomanic systems are generally fully functioning. Specifically, it is distinguished from mania by the absence of psychotic symptoms and by its lower degree of impact on functioning."

1st December 2009

3:44am: This morning I woke up because of a dream that rather large hairy spiders where crawling around in my clothes. I stayed as cool & collect as possible I think help was on the way until two crawled from the neck of my shirt across my neck & face & started to gnash away at my temples. I reached up & crushed them with my hands.

3:31pm: "What Was Actually on the Menu?

What foods topped the table at the first harvest feast? Historians aren't completely certain about the full bounty, but it's safe to say the pilgrims weren't gobbling up pumpkin pie or playing with their mashed potatoes. Following is a list of the foods that were available to the colonists at the time of the 1621 feast. However, the only two items that historians know for sure were on the menu are venison and wild fowl, which are mentioned in primary sources. The most detailed description of the "First Thanksgiving" comes from Edward Winslow from A Journal of the Pilgrims at Plymouth, in 1621:

"Our harvest being gotten in, our governor sent four men on fowling, that so we might after a special manner rejoice together after we had gathered the fruit of our labors. They four in one day killed as much fowl as, with a little help beside, served the company almost a week. At which time, among other recreations, we exercised our arms, many of the Indians coming amongst us, and among the rest their greatest king Massasoit, with some ninety men, whom for three days we entertained and feasted, and they went out and killed five deer, which they brought to the plantation and bestowed upon our governor, and upon the captain, and others. And although it be not always so plentiful as it was at this time with us, yet by the goodness of God, we are so far from want that we often wish you partakers of our plenty.""

Turkey day usually means one or two more relatives in the house, shrimp, cream cheese, cocktail sauce & crackers on at least three tables & the counter in the kitchen, football, me avoiding tabletop games, my aunt taking fifteen smoke breaks & making weird noises.

We actually have the same Turkey dinner about eight times a year maybe more, we invite the same relatives, maybe one or two less side dishes, no sparkling cider & no pumpkin pie but essentially the same. This is a good thing I get to see close family semi regularly I just think it's funny that Thanksgiving seems like it should be a bigger deal.
4:37am: Only have to work three days this week, Friday will be slow.
So instead of video games it seems I can find just about anything to distract myself. I'll have to say movies, books etc doesn't seem like as big of a waste of time but it is I suppose. I need to find something better to fulfill my time.

4:29am: Today I had trouble reading a clock less than 5 feet away from me. I was also brought out of being tired by a text friend a friend. Thanks for contacting me & catching up but I do wish it had been at a different time of day. I will regret responding in the morning. I think I'm going to print up a list of quirks, problems & positives about me. Highlight the ones I want to talk about so that I know what I really want to focus on changing & keeping.

I don't think I would fight cancer. Just saying.
2:29am: Always rethinking.
